Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds

On or about January 30, 2026, the Mayor will authorize the City of Santa Rosa to submit a request to HUD for release of Community Project Funding Grants funds to undertake the Blue Hole Park Trail Project in the amount of $850,000.

The activities proposed are categorically excluded under HUD regulations at 24 CFR Part 58 from National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements.

The Environmental Review Record (ERR) may be examined and/or printed at Santa Rosa City Hall (9 A.M. to 4 P.M. weekdays),
and is also referenced via HUD’s environmental reviews portal.

How to submit public comment

Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the ERR to the Community Planning and Development office: planning@santarosanm.gov

All comments received by January 30, 2026 will be considered prior to authorizing submission of the request for release of funds.

Objections to release of funds

HUD will accept objections for a period of 15 days following the anticipated submission date or its actual receipt of the request (whichever is later), only on specific bases described in the official notice.
